Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

Quickly Origny is well worth considering whilst Hatta Stream and Pere Blanc rate highly but preference is for a newcomer in the form of STATUS SYMBOL. Giles Bravery has had just the three runners in bumpers in the past five seasons but one of those has won and he could double his tally in this contest. The five year-old has clearly had his problems as he's failed to live up to the exploits of a number of his siblings who have achieved a decent standard on the level in France but he could well prove too strong for this field if he shares a fraction of their ability. Noel Chance won this race last year and the form of Quickly Origny's run at Ludlow received a boost in the week whilst his pilot is able to claim 10lbs on his first ride in public. Hatta Stream and Pere Blanc have both shown a modicum of ability whilst Robin De Creuse faces a far easier task than he did on his debut in a Listed bumper at Cheltenham and he could fare better as a result but we'll look no further than Status Symbol.
