Verdict

ROCKET ROB is our pick for the opener, from a shortlist which also includes Calley Ho and Temperence Hall. Simon Callaghan's gelding has been a little disappointing in his last couple of runs, having previously won similar contests at Wolverhampton and Yarmouth, the former over 7 furlongs. He could bounce back today though despite a high draw. Temperance Hall was last of the 7 when the selection won at Wolverhampton last month, but quickly reversed that despite carrying more weight by getting into the frame when Rocket Rob was well down the field at Lingfield last week. Calley Ho has won an inferior race to this at Hamilton, but not progressed as had been hoped in better company. He's Linda Stubbs' only runner on the card, and could well be involved at the business end.
