Verdict

Verity Lane and Soho Theatre set the standard and have landed the best draws but we still expect the pair to find some less exposed sorts too strong; we'll take LATANSAA to beat the likes of Eton Forever and Afsare. Marcus Tregoning's son of Indian Ridge ran a taking race to finish third on his return and the support he attracted that day, backed up by an entry in The Derby, suggests he's well thought of. Our feeling is he only needs to repeat that run to go very close here and with improvement entirely possible he's taken to score if handling the Polytrack. Eton Forever attracted some support ahead of his debut and Michael Jarvis has his string in decent order, so with that experience behind him the Oratorio colt rates the danger. Afsare is well-related and needs a market check on his debut, with the yard having had a similar sort run well in the week. Green Destiny is from an excellent family and could prove up to the task, he's of more interest than Fancy Vivid although the betting will help split them further. This looks the stronger of the two maidens but Latansaa should prove up to the task.
