Verdict

Lutine Charlie looks flattered by his rating and Advertisement needs to learn to settle, so we'll put forward UDABAA in the hope he can draw some improvement from his first run of the year. Reported to be a big, backward type, our selection should continue to progress with time and therefore did well to take a fair fifth on his return in what was a more competitive contest. Our concern is he has to prove Kempton's surface isn't a problem whilst a furlong or two further would surely not go amiss, but he might just have a class advantage here and is taken to show it. Lutine Charlie has a rather high rating, gained from a string of decent runs in defeat last term. However, since returning he's been well held in both maiden and handicap company and may find a few too good, including Advertisement. Jeremy Noseda's colt ran respectably on his return especially seeing as he raced freely, but he can't be backed with confidence until showing he's learned to settle. Valeur is the most interesting of the newcomers as a daughter of a French Oaks winning mare. Her pedigree is packed with speed too so she could go nicely here for Richard Mullen and a market check is advised. Plutocraft should be suited by this step up to a mile but may do better in handicap company whilst Formulation will need to leave his debut running behind, so we'll take Udabaa to land a tricky maiden.
