Verdict

MOUNTAIN RANGE scored over the course and distance in June from just 1lb lower and caught the eye here last month when staying on from an unpromising position. He can gain his third success on the track though Night's Watch looks a threat. William Jarvis' colt won a Lingfield handicap last month and may have been a bit unfortunate when attempting a follow-up there a fortnight later. Mazij has four all-weather victories to his credit though all over further and none of them here. Fearless Lad won a maiden over 1m2f at Lingfield then found a mile too short here so this trip should be perfect and though Auden gained his only UK victory at Southwell he's run well here in the past. Rowan Ridge was returning from a very long break when performing with credit at Lingfield last month and isn't too badly treated.
