Verdict

As most of the field are making their handicap bows a market check is advisable but it may not be wise to underestimate SULTAN'S CHOICE; Mandarin Express and Proper Littlemadam are others to consider. The selection was hard driven to win a Catterick seller on her second outing after which she was bought in which didn't seem unreasonable after she had finished a close fourth in a Wolverhampton nursery. This longer trip will suit and Paul Hanagan was on board when she won. Mandarin Express is well drawn and may improve for the step up to a more suitable trip having been well held in maidens but similar comments could be applied to a good number in this field including Proper Littlemadam who represents a yard that has been profitable to follow here. We know a little more about Whiepa Snappa, Knockenduff and Sixpenny Moon who met at Salisbury where they came home in the order listed and all three could be involved with a little luck. Mary Helen's form ties in fairly closely with the selection so she has to enter calculations if you take a shine to Sultan's Choice.
