A competitive enough little heat with Hendre Hotshot taken to come good again from Cardinal Spirit, Deep Reflection and Drumbeater. The selection returns to this sphere from a Grade 2 contest last time and will appreciate the drop. She stays forever, acts on this ground and at the track, so she has plenty going for her. Cardinal Spirit stayed on well at Doncaster last time to record a comfortable success. He clearly relishes a test of stamina and will want the threat of rain to go away to be seen to best effect. Deep Reflection, on the other hand, does not look to be capable of getting home over this far and would in any case prefer more cut to be at the top of his game. Drumbeater fell last time when still going pretty well at Newbury, and he would want more juice underfoot, so much here will depend on what the official going is at the time of the race. However without that knowledge we'll take Hendre Hotshot to score.
