Verdict

OCEAN COUNTESS should be winning one of these low grade handicaps soon and it could be today. She gets the token vote having finished a length behind My Best Man over C&D last time when today's rival Cairanne trailed in last. The latter has since shown her first worthwhile form when second at Wolverhampton, while last April's winner over a mile, Teen Ager, has a bit to find with the selection on November's comeback run. Emerald Royal is flattered by her latest form figure as she was beaten seven lengths when second at this track a week ago and Harvest Mist looks to have stronger claims.
