In depth

Verdict

Lough Beg should complete his hat-trick although Classic Blue has been running well in defeat and Istead Rise and Willie Ever may have more to offer. The selection has been in fine form since joining Tor Sturgis from Ireland and has only needed to be pushed out to record back to back course and distance successes. He looks capable of better yet and can go in again. Istead Rise was pulled up over hurdles when last seen but has hinted at ability in maidens and market support would look significant with his yard amongst the winners. Willie Ever is similarly unexposed, having had just the four career starts. He stepped up on previous efforts when fourth on his handicap bow last time and may be able to pull a little more out of the bag. That pair are respected but Lough Beg is preferred.
