    In depth

    Verdict

FIRST BOY is taken to get the better of Super Baby and High Bird Humphrey. Thirteen of Sue Smith's forty three winners have come in the last month and anything she runs has to be accorded the utmost respect. First Boy was having just his second run over fences when readily accounting for his rivals at Bangor and a 12lb rise may not be enough to prevent him from following up. High Bird Humphrey also comes into the race on the back of a success and the runner-up went on to win his next start although the form of the races is questionable. He looks vulnerable but he has shown improved form since being fitted with cheekpieces. Super Baby has been relatively consistent over fences and could make a decent fist of it but his profile is unconvincing and a place may be the best that he can hope to achieve; first place can go to First Boy.
