    Verdict

PHONE IN has improved since joining Lucinda Russell and he can improve again to see off Dallas Bell and St Killian's Run. A ready winner at Ayr, there is no more to do here. Dallas Bell won well at Hexham over this extended trip. The going will be a fair bit quicker this afternoon. St Killian's Run is yet to run on a faster surface but seems finally to have settled in at Peter Monteith's having left Paul Nicholls. Quick Will was a capable hurdler on his day but often ruined his chances with errors at precisely the wrong time. He does not have a great deal of size so his presence here is a surprise. Border Reiver has been disappointing but a tonguestrap has been applied for the first time and the yard are very much in form. Phone In seems to have turned the corner and can post a follow up.
