Verdict

CROCO BAY finished a distance clear of the rest of the field when runner-up at Sedgefield last time. That looks stronger form than Lifetime's third over track and trip when Plus Jamais was well beaten and Peter Atkinson's charge gets the vote. Damascus Steel looks a threat on his recent victory at Hexham and he should figure again off a 4lb higher mark. Victor Lynch and Abbey Garth have the past form to figure but were both below par on their latest starts while the remainder have shown little to recommend them so far.
