Verdict

Pauline Robson trained the winner of this last year and can repeat the dose with FIFTYFIVEDEGREES, who is given one more chance, while Garleton looks a leading danger. The latter landed a Hexham handicap chase last time and acts on bottomless ground. Sue Smith has placed him to win three of his last four now, so he is a consistent sort and he stays at least this far, so from a 7lb higher mark he can go very well. Fiftyfivedegrees looked pretty smart when winning a Newcastle novices' contest in March, and he was unsuited going right-handed at Carlisle next time. He reappeared here earlier in the month but took a tumble at the first, so he remains unexposed. He acts with plenty of cut and is sure to be nursed around here by Timmy Murphy, who can guide him to success. Sally Forster's runners are in cracking form, which augurs well for Skenfrith, who was last seen winning easily on heavy ground at Ayr in the spring. He has winning form here and a nice racing weight, so should be thereabouts. Coldwells possesses stamina and some ability, but is very hard to win with, while Boris The Blade saves his best for Hexham and Ayr, though he will stay and go on this ground. We are, however, warmest on the chance of Fiftyfivedegrees.
