Maggio has won twice here this season over further. He was tackling Grade 3 company at Clonmel last time and should find this easier but Patrick Griffin's raider may struggle to give 6lb over this trip to the improving SCARLET FIRE. He beat Big Water a shade cosily at Carlisle and the runner-up has franked the form since. Big Water's trainer Alan Swinbank runs Phoenix Returns here but he's had plenty of opportunities to get off the mark. Cruachan showed a bit of promise at Musselburgh in December but hasn't been seen since.
