In depth

Verdict

This looks to be a cracking little contest, with RED ADMIRAL marginally preferred to Robert The Brave and Come Out Firing. Charlie Mann's gelding took to chasing like a duck to water on debut when winning narrowly over a similar trip. He's strong in the finish, and has a good attitude, and has been entitled to his little lay-off since that win. Come Out Firing has done just that, with four wins from his last seven outings. One mistake last time out cost him a place, but a repeat of the form he was showing earlier in the summer could be enough to land this. Robert The Brave won a similar race last time out, when having his second go over the bigger obstacles, having learned much from his chase debut. Unforgettable is having his debut for Tim Vaughan, who's more than capable of turning a serial loser into a winner, and he lived up to his name by making an inauspicious chase bow, by falling. He's won over hurdles in his native Ireland though, and any support may encourage us. However in what could be the race of the day, we'll side with Red Admiral.
