In depth

Verdict

MARIE DES ANGES showed promise as a two-year-old in France but has only had one run on the Flat this year. However, she's a full sister to a winning hurdler and this isn't the strongest juvenile event that the track will stage this winter so Alison Thorpe's filly gets a tentative vote. Galloping Queen failed to record a single success in 17 attempts on the level but was second over 1m4f at Brighton 10 days ago and deserves respect on that score alone. Hope Point was third at Newton Abbot in August and looks the pick of those with experience.
