In depth

Verdict

POLLYSTONE was still in contention when a bad blunder put an end to her challenge at Catterick. It's likely she would have beaten eventual fifth, Toubeera, with a clear round and she gets the nod in this. Taradrewe has been well beaten in decent bumpers this year and could figure on her hurdling bow but this is much tougher than the claiming hurdle Gulfport finished second in at Wetherby last time. In By Midnight never looked like troubling the winner when fifth at Ludlow on her hurdling debut but will have improved for the experience and looks best of the rest.
