    Verdict

Some good young pilots on show here but their mounts have only landed a total of three hurdling successes between them. Two of those have been delivered by Mount Welcome but all the evidence indicates he's currently on the downgrade. The other victory came from LOST IN NEWYORK (NAP) at Leicester last December, since when he's performed perfectly creditably on most of his subsequent eight runs. He'll handle the soft better than some of these too and looks a solid option. Helamis may have improvement to come as a four-year-old whilst Auto Mac, consistent if limited, merits a place on the shortlist receiving weight all round.
