In depth

Verdict

Cyclop, a French import, is noteworthy as he receives plenty of weight from his elders and it's interesting to see David Dennis, making a really good fist of things as a trainer, pitch his three-year-old into this company, especially with the additional claim of the useful Mikey Ennis taken into account. He's tempting but RASCAL makes that extra appeal. The Milan gelding contested a pretty hot Ascot handicap on reappearance after progressing nicely last term. He only weakened between the last two at the Berkshire venue and should be cherry-ripe now for what appears a more straightforward assignment for his in-form yard. Cloonacool and Make Me A Fortune showed enough on recent starts to suggest they can be competitive too.
