      Verdict

IMMENSE was far from it when last seen but, having been given time off to return to his best and racing on ground he enjoys, a better performance is entirely likely. Further encouragement is taken from the current form of the yard and with the improving Trevor Whelan easing the burden with his 7lb claim this looks a decent opportunity for a horse who is capable of better still. Caheerloch remains weighted to his best but at least arrives in form having chased home a thrown-in rival last time so he's likely to prove a threat in this weak contest ahead of Omix D'Or, well handicapped on his form over fences but evidently a different animal in that sphere. Willow Wren is tried in a first-time tongue-tie and needs watching in the market as the least exposed horse in a race that will take very little winning, but Immense has plenty in his favour and gets the vote.
