Verdict

TRICKAWAY has already won a point-to-point so the switch to fences should suit Philip Hobbs' six-year-old, who won a bumper earlier this year and has been placed over hurdles. Owen Na View went close at Perth in July but has been well beaten since over timber and is 5lb higher today. The Ould Lad was beaten more than 30 lengths when favourite at Newbury in March but should be capable of better and preferred to Vermouth Bleu, who fell at Fontwell on his chasing bow, and the returning Cabimas.
