    Verdict

KNOW THE LAW gets our vote here in a trappy contest, but Trachonitis and Chord are likely to be supported too, while any market confidence in the three newcomers to hurdling should be noted. Nicky Henderson's runner hasn't always been the most straightforward, but showed some promise on hurdling debut, which he couldn't follow up second time out. A winner once on the flat, he's not one to go overboard about, but there doesn't seem a great deal to beat. Trachonitis has earned his keep on the flat, but been placed just once in five runs over hurdles. Chord looks the better of the two horses running for Donald McCain, the other being Catching The Light, but again isn't one to be raving about. It's one of those races where there seem more negatives than positives about most, but tentatively we'll suggest Know The Law as a selection.
