In depth

Verdict

Liqueur Rose was all out to win a mares' bumper at Bangor on her racecourse debut and will find it tougher here under a penalty. Newcomers Chatterbox, related to smart chaser My Will, and Woodyoulikeme, from the same family as hurdler/chaser Stagecoach Pearl, both represent powerful NH yards and have to go on the short-list but WAVES AND WIND looks open to improvement and could be the one to beat. Noel Chance's gelding was very green on debut at Uttoxeter but kept on under hands and heels and wasn't beaten far at the post. This looks less competitive.
