Verdict

The phrase 'ultra competitive' is an understatement when describing this contest where a shortlist of 12 can easily b made but a selection must be given and that goes to DOCTOR ROBERT who can bounce back for a last time out disappointment with Viscount Rossini and Faversham also clsoe to heading the list. Things went badly wrong for the selection last time as he was pulled up when well out of contention. Something must have been amiss that day with previous form strong in races like this including going close off this mark two starts ago and he is well treated under these conditions. Viscount Rossini has been running well of late and always seems to run his race. He's now off a mark 14lbs heavier than his last winning one but was competitive last time to run on well and claim a runners up spot. Faversham is another competing above his last winning mark this time to the tune of 12lbs. It does seemed to have stop him winning but not running well and expect him in the prize money. L'Homme de Nuit ran a decent seasonal reappearance race last time while Coconut Beach, Cursum Perficio, Nearby, Orpen Wide and King's Majesty all have a similar consistent profile to suggest winners waiting to happen but at the weights Doctor Robert is best choice.
