Verdict

This is the much more competitive of the two divisions of this maiden and with plenty more form to go at the chances of MOUNT HELICON appeal the most but El Dancer and Hot Diamond should be in close order. The Alan King trained selection as shown more than enough ability to take one of these in just four runs and with the form working out well from his last effort he has marginally the better chance. El Dancer improved on his debut run to finish runner up in what should have been a decent looking novice hurdle last time however the form is yet to work out from that contest though but you shouldn't rule him out. Hot Diamond has been knocking on the door in some novice events recently and it could be argued this is an easier task; his mark of 122 also shows suggests ability. Amwell Brave should probably stick to staying tests on the level with little to recommend him over timber so far while Tory Hill is the most interesting of the newcomers and the performance of Jonjo O'Neills other debutant in the first race will guide us to this ones chances. So in a much better race than the opener we side with Mount Helicon.
