Verdict

Persian Herald attempted to make all over 2m at Newcastle but couldn't hold the late thrust of Rhymers Stone. All of his four victories over hurdles have been over the minimum trip and he may get outstayed. One For Harry shot up the weights after completing a double last season and has been unable to cope. He's still 10lb higher than his last win while the form of Romany Ryme's close second to Wolf Shield at Newcastle has been badly let down by the winner and he's fallen in his subsequent starts. Morning Time went up 12lb for his victory over 2m1f here in November and didn't impress a couple of weeks later while the once very promising chaser Master Of The Hall has been well beaten in recent starts over hurdles. BE MY PRESENT gained her first success over timber over a shorter distance here last time, giving the impression there's better to come over this sort of trip so she's given the nod.
