      Verdict

College City is the pick over Jamaaron, with Basinet, Dramatic Review and Lucky Arthur all worth a mention. This looks quite tricky, and the market may be worth watching, but College City was fancied at Plumpton last time on the back of an earlier decent second at Cartmel, so is taken to get the losses back. Richard Guest's charge was not really suited by the sharp Sussex track, and although inconsistent, has conditions more in his favour today. Still well handicapped, he gets a tentative vote. Having won in this company at Stratford in August, there was an excuse for Jamaaron's defeat on a return visit as his rein broke early on, and he will find this easier than when fourth to Ellerslie Tom on a third consecutive outing at the Avon venue. He should go well despite having to give weight away all round, but Basinet has not been out since running on the all-weather in March, and is perhaps best watched. Dramatic Review hails from a shrewd yard, and Lucky Arthur will be all the better for his belated return at Sedgefield. Throw in Lease, whose Irish yard won this 12 months ago with a Richard Johnson-partnered animal, and it takes on an impossible look. With that in mind, only a modest investment is advised on College City.
