    Verdict

Minstrel Hall has a 7lb penalty for her win in a Catterick seller last week and has more to do in a better race today and is opposed with Jolika, who gets the vote over Peggy Sioux. The last mentioned makes her debut in a handicap here getting in on a light weight and, having run her best race last time, she warrants respect. Alan Bailey's The Fairy Flag comes here fresher than most and is well treated on her best, while at the top end of the weights Howard Johnson's Killultagh Dawn may do better now that she races in a handicap for the first time. She should step up on her debut effort for new connections having formerly been trained in Ireland but the vote goes to Jolika. Len Lungo's mare won with a little more in hand than the winning margin would suggest at Ayr last time and, off a 7lb higher mark, she has an obvious chance.
