Verdict

With Kalmo Bay out of form, OSO MAGIC is taken to get the better of Reckless Venture and Caribbean Cove in a tight handicap. Reckless Venture won here in March in testing conditions and has been kept busy since, seeming to prefer some cut in the ground. Having led over the last recently, he was outpaced in the closing stages and may have to settle for a place again. Caribbean Cove has been off the course since landing his fifth chase success and his fitness has to be taken on trust. However, he is the type who can go well after a break and the market should be heeded for clues about his readiness. Oso Magic underlined his stamina to score two outings ago on the stiff uphill climb to the line at Carlisle, his fifth chase win. He lost nothing when finishing a sound third here off a higher mark here recently. He is consistent and Oso Magic can score again.
