In depth

Verdict

An interesting seller as Humbel Ben would be a strong consideration if finding the form that enabled him to score last August before running a fine second to the talented Silver Roque at Bangor in October. However, he's been pulled up the last twice so current wellbeing is uncertain but his yard are renowned for a tilt at the ring so watch if the money comes. In contrast Piment D'Estruval is consistency personified and could well win this by default if simply running his race. The form of the Vaughan yard is a major concern though and a chance is taken with KAOLAK. He has gone off the boil of late with modest Flat efforts but a Musselburgh win back on New Year's Day 2012 revealed a decent level of ability over timber. He gets the nod here in the hope some of that talent remains.
