      Verdict

Border Lad won over a longer trip here in February and is only a couple of pounds higher than when second at the track in April. All the better for a recent run at Ludlow, he could go close today. Tarabela probably isn't badly treated but finished tailed off on her reappearance at Taunton, as did Tin Pot Man here last time. TSARINOVA didn't fare too badly when fourth to Veiled at Warwick on her handicap debut in March. She hasn't raced since but, from the same family as classy chaser The Tsarevich, should improve with age and can get off the mark in this modest heat. Monn Royal is another returning from a break but could also be worth watching for future reference.
