Call To Arms doesn't really appear to be progressing but can't be ruled out in this modest grade with the promising Peter Carberry in the saddle. Souter Point has shown ability in better company and is sure to be popular given connections while Dashing Doc finished second on his hurdles bow over C&D last month, albeit beaten 28 lengths. Aspro Mavro had decent form on the Flat but has been on the sidelines for almost a year and we prefer fellow newcomer ABERGAVENNY. Now with Brian Ellison, the gelding won twice over 1m2f for Mark Johnston last year and showed he retained plenty of ability with a recent fourth at Doncaster. He may have too much pace for these if his jumping holds up.
