Making his handicap debut, Venetia Williams's Sarin rates a live threat, but is taken on with David Wintle's PonchaTrain who should have come on from his handicap debut at Plumpton in October and could be good enough to make amends today. He's back in a Novice Handicap today and should be sharper for that reappearance, whilst Sarin should also benefit from this run today. Earl Of Spectrum looks to be too high in the weights and may need some help from the handicapper, whilst Mistified drops back to a more suitable trip and a reproduction of previous form would put him in a with a shout. However, he's still a maiden after twenty-four starts over obstacles and therefore he must be passed over. Of the rest, Belledesaro makes his handicapping debut and could step up on previous efforts, whilst Heisse has previously run well at the track but must recover from two recent woeful efforts. PonchaTrain wasn't beaten far in his reappearance and therefore he is the selection to win today.
