THIEVERY is a decent sort in this grade and can land the money from Normandy Landings and Finnish Melody. As one would expect, there are some infrequent winners in this line-up but Thievery has won three of his eighteen starts over fences and has been placed a further six times which is a commendable record. He's also a winner over course and distance, has run well fresh and looks the one to beat. He's 7lbs higher in the weights than when beating Glimmer Of Light in November 2008 but he was giving a stone to Dr Newland's runner on that occasion and should be able to get the better of his old rival once again. Normandy Landings ran his most encouraging race to date on his most recent start and merits respect accordingly whilst Finnish Melody may well find some improvement for being sent chasing but several of this line-up are capable of going well but predicting when they will is harder and the percentage call is Thievery.
