In depth

Verdict

A poor but competitive seller with Timidjar, Grimshaw, Desert Spa and Lone Soldier all in with a chance with the vote going to the last named. Lone Soldier comes here on the back of some creditable efforts and with a win at Wetherby last time out connections must be confident that he has the ability to win again in this grade. Timidjar again come comes here on the back of a win at Taunton. He may look nicely treated but that win was over three miles and it's a big difference to the two mile trip today so could struggle. Desert Spa enters calculations on his win in this grade last year and looked as though he was finding some form at Ludlow last time out. Grimshaw would win on his best form but again has struggled to find it of late so is probably best watched here. So for the winner we return to Lone Soldier.
