In depth

Verdict

In this small field Alan King and Robert Thornton team up to send out SPARE CASH and he should take all the beating with Will The Till and Lyes Green looking to fight for a share of the prize pot. The pick already has a rating over fences of 126 after just two tries over the big obstacles. A winning hurdler, the six-year-old was well beaten by a useful looking Nicholls horse last time and the form from that looked like it would stand up after the third from that race would have won if he hadn't fell when going really well next time out. Plenty more to come from this one and he should get off the mark over fences. Will The Till seems the main danger to spoil the party after taking to chasing well with placings in two out of three starts so far. Officially rated 16lbs lower than the selection he has plenty of heart and will enjoy the slog in these conditions. Lyes Green was competitive in a couple of listed events over timber last season but has much more ability than his results showed. He was badly hampered in his opening gambit over fences last time out when he blundered half way through the race but ran on well to claim a place. A clear round this time and he could, in theory, push the selection. The form from Stop The Show's first attempt at chasing stands up with the second going on to score well next time out, but he would have to showed a marked improvement to be close while Sir Peter has a small claim on hurdles form.
