Verdict

Catch The Perk has followed the same path he took before winning this race by 14 lengths last year and, off just a 1lb higher mark, is tempting as an each-way proposition despite his advancing years. However, the booking of Richard Johnson suggests MARLEYBOW is expected to take a high rank and he certainly suggested a return to the winners' enclosure was close when third on his reappearance. He has a bit to find with Catch The Perk on their meeting in the spring but is at the other end of the age scale and can improve past him. Oscar Honey is dropping in the weights and shaped with more encouragement last time so with the step up in trip to suit he's a threat along with Cebonne and Darn Hot, who both appear capable of running well from their respective handicap marks.
