    Verdict

A race that could be fought out by representatives of the Easterby family and it is Tim's NO POPPY to whom we turn in preference to Mick's Black Annis Bower. The latter relished the mud when scoring at Newcastle last week and has certainly been improving, so she has to be taken very seriously under a 6lb penalty. However, No Poppy has some very solid form and if anything she showed improvement when fourth in a very competitive fillies' nursery at Doncaster last time. Pedigree suggests that she should go on deep ground and we will side with her. Riverdale was a fast ground Beverley maiden winner but has a bit to prove after a dismal effort last time and also has slower conditions to negotiate, while the juice in the ground may also make it tough for Ayr winner Bahamian Sunset.
