Verdict

The step up to middle-distances this year has been the making of LORDOFTHEHOUSE. He beat Man Of God here before following up in soft ground at Newcastle over 1m4f last time and today's longer trip looks well within his compass. Kleitomachos has also improved over 1m4f recently and went close at Salisbury last time, although he may not confirm running with the less-exposed Encore Une Annee, who was less than a length behind. A Boy Named Suzi has done his winning on Polytrack and Wayward Glance struggles in handicaps, so the lightly-raced My Heart's On Fire could prove a bigger threat after winning her maiden at Kempton last month.
