In depth

Verdict

Jack Duern's allowance means Taro Tywod can effectively race off a lower mark having won at Yarmouth last month when Gabrial The Thug finished back in fourth. She's preferred to Hussar Ballad, who steps up a grade after winning at Newcastle. Lord Franklin attempts a longer trip and remains 7lb higher than his latest win but Aldborough may do better now going handicapping. MASH POTATO was fancied when sent off favourite for his reappearance at Pontefract and only faded out of contention in the closing stages. He'll be sharper here and gets the vote as Magnolia Ridge would prefer softer ground.
