Verdict

Halcon Genelardais hasn't got his head in front since winning the Welsh National in 2006 but should do well in this sphere and will be all the better for his recent third at Wincanton. But preference is still for BABY RUN, who won the Foxhunter Chase at last year's Cheltenham Festival and will be defending his crown next month all being well. He jumped really well when making a successful reappearance at Wetherby and should take all the beating here. Ardnaclancy made giant strides last spring but, like Oopsmylord and Idle Talk, has an absence to overcome here and faces a stiff task off level weights with the selection.
