Verdict

West End Rocker is much improved this season and chasing a hat-trick after wins in staying races at Newbury, when ahead of Nicto De Beauchene, and Warwick. Raised a further 8lb since finishing ahead of Le Beau Bai on his latest start, Wayne Hutchison's mount may struggle today however and preference is for MOBAASHER. This is his first run over fences this season but he won off a higher mark on similar ground over hurdles at Warwick last month before turning in an excellent performance behind Grand Crus at Cheltenham and there was nothing wrong with his form over the larger obstacles last year .King Fontaine has his stamina to prove over this trip, as does Carruthers, but Sarde could be interesting though his yard has rather gone off the boil since the turn of the year.
