Verdict

Shadow Catcher was stepped up a grade after scoring at Nottingham and was well beaten over C&D last time. Much better is expected back at this level, but INGLEBY EXCEED looks more progressive. She picked up well in the closing stages over 7f at Catterick to run out a clear winner and there should be more to come over today's extra distance. It's too soon to write off Polytrack winner Bountiful Guest after a disastrous handicap bow over a longer trip, while Desert Chieftain, Marie Rose and Magic Rhythm are all lightly-raced and open to improvement.
