      Verdict

Jonjo O'Neill has a good record in this race and he relies on The Very Man in this Pertemps qualifier and whilst he needs respect, we will side with Temoin ahead of Onnix and Robin Du Bois. The British handicapper has taken no chances with the last-named as he was well-held off a mark of 117 when last seen in Ireland. However his trainer has pulled off some legendary gambles in the past and despite having to race off 130 today, he is certainly one to watch given the rather tender ride that he was given on his reappearance. However Temoin has been holding his form well over both birch and timber and he needs respect given his useful fifth behind the well-handicapped and highly-regarded The Tother One at Sandown. He holds The Very Man and Ballyfitz amongst others on that running and whilst his mark is high enough, he can go well with ground to suit. Heraldry needs watching in the betting returning from an absence for his shrewd yard, although stamina may be issue despite the intriguing booking of Tom O'Brien. Onnix ran well in a decent contest at Cheltenham when he ventured to these shores last time out but he didn't seem blessed with a turn of foot over this three miles, whilst Mobaasher looks high in the handicap. He has been punished for his Triumph third in 2007 and despite a change of scenery he may be up agsainst it today. Gunner Jack is capable of better, whereas Raslan may not be off this lofty mark of 143. At a wild price Desert Ommy needs watchign i nthe betting on his first start for a new yard, however Temoin is fancied to defy top weight.
