In depth

Verdict

There was little to choose between King Revo and Kentucky Blue when the latter fell at the last when they met at Wetherby, and on the same terms King Revo is taken to confirm his superiority. The gelding form the Patrick Haslam yard has done nothing but improve this season and is taken to win again before going on to the Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham festival. Kentucky Blue made amends for that Wetherby fall when defeating Humid Climate but he was all-out on that occasion and will need to improve again to reverse placings with the selection. My Will is unbeaten in the French provinces but that form is hard to evaluate, although any market support should be noted. Albany was an expensive recruit from the flat and made a pleasing debut over hurdles when defeating Parknasilla, but this looks more difficult so we are happy to stick with King Revo to maintain his unbeaten record over hurdles.
