      Verdict

      Mirthful is on the upgrade and can account for Sadler's Kingdom and Tetouan, with El Dececy and Honourable Love adding to a competitive handicap. Mirthful is a half-brother to the stable's Dewhurst winner Distant Music, but has taken a little longer to make an impression. A change of tactics worked a treat though at Bath last time when he was brought through strongly to score under Richard Hughes, having been held up on his two previous outings. We can expect more of the same here, and the Barry Hills inmate looks all set to make his mark in handicap company. Sadler's Kingdom is not sure to act on the fast going, and has a 6lb penalty for his successful trip to Galway last week. Tetouan has struggled a bit since being stepped up in trip and has to give weight away all round, while El Dececy seems to lack a gear at present. Honourable Love is another that is saddled with a penalty, so all in all, this must present a suitable opportunity to the progressive Mirthful.
