Verdict

THISTLE BIRD was caught close home by Premio Loco in the Celebration Mile at Goodwood a fortnight ago. He'd recorded a double in Listed events before that and Roger Charlton's charge is just preferred to the three-year-old Fulbright. The latter had registered a hat-trick of handicap wins before his latest below par effort and has stronger form than the other winning handicappers Chil The Kite and Boom And Bust. Kingsdesire, Rockinante and Right To Dream have all been competing in classified races and the latter makes most appeal on his easy win at Warwick, but Sussex Stakes third Gabrial could prove a bigger danger having failed to stay 1m2f last time.
