In depth

Verdict

Romantic Destiny, Rockfield Tiger and Balata have all shown promise on their sole racecourse starts but this may go to one of the newcomers with marginal preference for Cross Fell who gets the vote ahead of Muhajaar. The selection is a well bred debutant from the stable of Mark Johnston and may be worth chancing on his debut. Mick Channon's Siberian Tiger is related to a couple of winners and a market move for the son of Xaar would be of interest. Romantic Destiny should do better on the faster ground today than on her debut and has claims with Kevin Ryan back among the winners, while Rockfield Tiger should come on for his Newmarket debut run. Balata should step up on the form of his Windsor run first time out and is another worthy of a mention but Cross Fell makes plenty of appeal on his first start and he gets the vote.
