Verdict

WINNER'S WISH didn't appear to get home over 2m at Newmarket last month but her earlier form over this trip looks rock-solid and Jeremy Noseda's filly should take all the beating in this finale. Modernism is the probable danger as he had plenty in hand when returning to winning ways over 1m4f at Goodwood, though is 8lb higher now. Venegazzu's two wins have been against inferior opposition on the Polytrack at Wolverhampton, however, and none of the older horses look capable of giving weight to a couple of progressive three-year-olds though Bridle Belle wasn't disgraced in a tough handicap won by Kirthill at York two weeks ago and Hawkeshead can reverse C&D running with Daring Indian on slightly better terms - both should again finish ahead of Blazing Field.
