In depth

Verdict

Henry Cecil's Acquisition has been in good form of late with wins at Leicester, Ripon and Salisbury in his last three starts but the softer ground today would have to be of some concern in a race taken to go to RED CADEAUX, who gets the vote ahead of Sherman McCoy. Rod Millman's gelding has been running well but is another that would probably prefer a faster surface so he may be best watched. Tom Tate's Kudu Country will have no problems with the underfoot conditions but may just be a shade high in the weights and of more interest may be Omokoroa. The Mark Tompkins-trained gelding has gone up another 3lbs for his recent start when chasing home Harry The Hawk at Doncaster but the yard's runners continue in good form so he has to be considered. Mark Johnston's Interdiamonds has been running consistently well of late and he should again be thereabouts but a better bet looks to be Red Cadeaux. Ed Dunlop's colt is in fine form at present following his recent success at Doncaster, has his ideal ground conditions and he is taken to win again.
